Opt In Email MarketingPart One of TwoBy: Marty Fiegl Today I want to talk about the most important part of your website. Your Opt in email list! You NEED to have at least one pop-up or form to capture your prospects email addresses! There is no question this will be your most powerful tool. Why do you need an opt in email list? Simple. 75% of your prospects won't buy from you the first time... Why? They either are skeptical and don't believe you or they are not interested in what you have to sell.. SO... If either of the above are true you can use your opt-in list to follow up with them. Make them believe what you say or at least trust you more AND if they are not interested in what you have they may be interested in one of your other products or services. First you'll need an autoresponder. If you want to use someone elses there is a FREE one that I recommend to everyone because it contains NO ADS! check out: Click Here for FreeAutoBot If you want to setup your own and have unlimited autoresponders, messages and control 100% of your responder I recommend Autoresponder Plus which can be found at: Click Here To Get AutoresponsPlus Once you setup your autoresponder you will need to decide how you are going to get people to signup. Basically you are going to bribe people to get them to give you their email address. A few ways are. 1. Give them a free
ebook or report Once you decide which of the above you want to use create a pop-up for your autoresponder. Here is the Javascript I use for my pop-ups: <SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript"> Between the and field copy and paste this information modifying the "pop.html" to whatever you called the html file that has the form. You can also change the size to whatever you would like. Please also note the reason that I let people see the URL, scroll and resize is because a lot of pay-per-click search engines and website require the user be able to do these things.. Here is the code: Now where it says add Onload="enter()" Your body statement should look similar to this: <body Onload="enter()"> There may be other
things between there and that's fine. You Now this will pop-up
when someone enters your website, so what Simply change <body Onload="enter()"> to <body Onunload="enter()"> There may be other things between there and that's fine. You are allowed to have multiple statements in the body statement. Now this will pop-up when someone enters your website, so what if you want it to pop-up when they leave? Simply change to DONE! simple as that! There is one other way to capture email addresses. With a ok/cancel windows pop-up box.
