Today I want to talk about writing headlines. One of the most important... Ok, THE MOST important part of your sales letter is.... YOUR HEADLINE!

It must stand out above the rest, especially if you have a lot of competition for your product. Here are a few well known headlines that work...

- $80,000 In Prizes! Help Us Find The Name For These New Kitchens
- Are You Ever Tongue-Tied At A Party?
- Can You Pass This Money Test?
- Full Time Minister Finds Part Time Goldmine
- How Bad A Beating Are You Willing To Take To Own A New Car
- They Laughed When I Sat Down At The Piano But When I Started To Play

I'm sure you've heard at least one of these, once before... So what is required for a Killer Headline? Ability to entrigue, Personalization, and of course arouse curiousity.. Which of course killed the cat :)

The easiest way to write a Killer Headline is to model or copycat someone elses! No, don't steal word for word... Turn...

- They Laughed When I Sat Down At The Piano - But When I Started To Play

Into...

They Laughed When I Walked Into The Room - But When I Took Off My Clothes…

Or...

They Laughed When I Said I Was Going To Start My Own Business

Same power + different product = results. So maybe you want to write your very own original Headline, then what? Here are a few "Power" words that should be included at least once in your headline.

You - Ultimate - Free - Master - Power - Discovery - Easy - Guaranteed - Love - Money - New - Scientific - Proven - Results - Incredible - Discover - Breakthrough - Secret - Private - Cash - Secrets - Shocked - Shocking - Revealed - Uncovered - Hidden - Profit's - Inside - Sex - How To...

Put them together along with your products main benefit. Here is an example:

"Scientifically Proven Secret Formula Will Guarantee You Lose 10 Pounds By Next Friday!"

Or

"Learn The Secrets To MY Private Vault!"

So, practice. Go out and find headlines that catch YOUR eye! Keep them in a "swipe" file somehwere on your computer or on a sheet of paper! Once you build your "swipe" file it will be easier and easier to write your own Killer Healine.
